Tim, Yes the pics are up one or two pages back. We were like a bunch of rookies out there for our first tanker chasing. 10 mins in the ride one of the riders broke his handle bars and we had to beach his ski and not venture too far away from it. Luckly its a short 1/4 - 3/8 mile trip across the bay from our launch.

I took a screen shot of the Google maps view and put it into a scalable pdf format. From Sylvan Beach boat ramp to Chris Craft Cove is right at 3 miles in a straight line....

I dont think you are calling chris craft cove the correct location/cove. I just scaled it and its just a bit over 2 miles, maybe 2 1/4 miles.
It does not seem that far but thats what I came up with.
