I didn't want to post a map and give away the secret location. :biggrin:

there are 2 coves we were in/near - the one with the wrecked cruiser where we had the superjet boneyard, and the other cove where the wave began - with dock/piperack in it.

The piperack is clearly visible in Google Earth. Obviously, the cruiser is not since the photos are several years old.

Ok I wasnt going with google earth, I went with google maps. It has a scale on the bottom of the page set up for one mile. I set my 6" scale up to it and measured out. Maybe im hitting the wrong cove then.

If its two miles, boy im glad AJ didnt fall off that sj on the ride back. Thats a freaking long way to swim. I think we could of had his ski parted out and on ebay before he made it to land. :shhh:

in google maps - click on the "satellite" tab in the upper right, and you can clearly see the piperack in the one cove, and you can see the rock that Smoofers ran over in the other cove. :biggrin:

and go download GoogleEarth - it's got lots of good stuff in it. Very handy for us around the office...you can put in a Lat/Long coordinate and it will take you right to it....also they just updated the GE photos for Crystal Beach (today, I think)...they are now post-Ike photos. :crying:

So this is off-topic, but do any of you (local) guys have an extra aftermarket finger throttle with a Yamaha adapter? I got some new bars and realized I can't run my stock throttle with it.....
