i thank you guys for the compliments!!!

its really not as easy as it looks.... being the best and all... takes alot of work.. luckily i think i've adjusted well to being the greatest skier ever.

....oh, and...... that picture NEVER would have been possible, if it weren't for Chris/Rahonda!!!!!

i'd like to personally thank them for always knowing that i am the best, hence taking alot of pics/vids of me all the time.

it really saves me from spending more time dressing up and taking mean pics of myself in front of my hallway mirror (although you have to admit, that beard is gorgeous)

LMFAO!!

i watched the addiction again the other night. During the segment you pull that trick i always rewind and watch it again... i'm like, Dayum!! very cool.

Surf riding is repeditive. That's it's problem. The only thing in the video that wasn't a BF or a BR was a tailstand or 2 by Saki.

That doesn't change the fact that I watched the video 4 times, each time a different week, because I wanted to see it again. Everytime I watched it I enjoyed it and still got chills from some of the biggest tricks.

I don't mean to say this as an insult. I say this as constructive criticism. To quit because a few people gave you a hard time shows a lack of character. For every one person who says something bad, there's at least 50 that thought something good. Yet you still give up because of that one person. If I quit everytime I met someone that gave me a hard time in what I was doing, I'd have quit everything, and be doing everything alone.

No matter where you go, or what you do, if it involves other people, you WILL encounter someone who is a problem. The only solution is to shut them all out and just be by yourselves. That to me, isn't a very good solution.

Stand strong and walk through the few insults. For every one person standing in your way, there's a 1000 behind them waiting for you to get past that person so they can praise you for your work.

Hope you change your mind. I was wanting to watch that video again.

Agreed.

I just get my kicks out of watching more flatwater, but I still watched the movie several times. Just like people on here enjoy riding a superjet opposed to a sxr. Different strokes for different folks. Everyone will have their opinion and you can not please everyone. Brush it off and move on.

Obviously there were other reasons for Chris to make his comments and quit other than the comment made by someone talking about do another backflip off a big wave? Am I right? Otherwise if it was only because of what was said on this thread then thats just crazy. Id like to know what someone of people have done to make him say this and act as if people hate what he does, otherwise maybe he just wants to spend all his time filming stunt bikes which seems to be taking off a bit more than freeride. Too bad anyways, hes got some talent to make the pwc industry seem pretty crazy.

I can only guess, but Sometimes the level of bitchiness, childishness around here can drive you mad, so to cure that, you just leave..............

some people will not grow up.........

its like this...i began making clips and videos for pwc because people like what i did...nowadays there is a growing group of naysayers and poo-pooers who are not happy no matter what...

i do not have time for ******** like that...i have a ton of other stuff i could be doing and if people do not dig what i have going on oh well...

mark 44 seems to think surf riding is repetitive...fine...no more freeride vids...the context was obviously lost on him...

the best thing i can say at this point is go grab your cameras...shoot what you love...dedicate yourself to it...post them up...fend off the arrows of the nay-sayers...

dj korn does it...wave junkies do it...and both do it well...its time for me to move over...let these guys do their thing...

Dude, I've never met you in person, but I am a HUGE FAN of your work. I have posted several bullitens on myspace pumping up your vids too. (I was the one who wanted to upload this particular vid myself if you couldnt, you did, & it's awesome!)

I can't speak for all the junkies, but I know that we are riders & not filmmakers. We do put together vids, but they are not on the level of nascency cinema. I'm sure you are welcome to come hang out with us here in VB whenever you want! You can even leave the camera at home if you want too, just come hang & have some fun.

You rock & I hope that you will be back sharing something that we all love soon!:woot: I'm definitely ready for some "in the blood" action:bigok:

ok...let me see if i can clarify...yes it was more than one comment that got me all fired up...if i have gotten bad video reviews, people calling my videos crap to my face, etc...i am used to stuff like that...i was already in a foul mood and unfortunately mark44 took the brunt of it right then...

i need to take a step back...for many different reasons. the filming for ITB was not going the way i wanted it...same locations, shots, faces, etc just seemed stale to me..the addiction all over again...c'mon, that would be boring...i want to do a whole lot more than just a sequel.

and the scene has changed...tremendously. there are alot more people, alot good, some not so good. but you know what they say, "a few bad apples..."

i am trying to sort out who the bad apples are in my life right now...

there is a very palpable feeling of negativity floating around. more people are coming to the freerides...but i have noticed at the ones i was at this year that more cliques are kind of keeping to themselves...hence the worm walk at allatoona, to try and get everyone to come together and mingle, meet, and grow...

i feel like some people are losing sight of what got them started down this road we have all gone down...

thank you everyone for the kind words, and the encouragement...it really means alot to me...

and yes, i film streetbikes...but also freestyle motocross...ama, bmx, all kinds of stuff...i have always been spastic when it comes to shooting...keeps me from getting bored...but it is not the reason i would walk away from one genre or another...

Hey man, I still have yet to see addiction just been puttin of buying it but I def know what your saying as far as making another film in the sport right now. Maybe overseas is different but ya got fullgaz over there and its not like you can just fly to europe any weekend to shoot. I also know what your saying when it comes to freerides, ive only been to wave rave twice, this year was a lot more fun than my first year but I def noticed cliques, but hey if ya know a group of who comes down together i would probably stick with my buds too. Maybe in a few years there will be some new stuff to shoot, bigger more tech stuff, big wave riding would be killer like what randy laine has done, to film that up close would be sweet. Anyways, ive seen all your trailers, they rock, very unique style and not just clipped together like alot of other extreme sports videos ive seen.
