FX-1 FX1, 144 Pump 10/16 -7, JD Intake, Protech Plate Need more Power

Just an update. Stayed with the 13/17 prop in the 144 pump (original shoe), put the Factory B-Pipe, Carb Rebuild/Jet/Spring . . . everything else is stock. All I can way is WOW. What a difference. The pipe made a HUGE difference. So much of a difference, that it has enough power for my skill...

SBN44 for X2 - Recommendation on what intake manifold

I will most likely use a stock flame arrester that come off a 1995 FX1. Once I get the carb, manifold and compare some Superjet linkage with what comes off the X2. I'll post what pieces I used.

SBN44 for X2 - Recommendation on what intake manifold

Thanks. No need to tweak linkage with the Westcoast manifold? Also . . . newbie question . . . "stuffers" ? Must be something to improve intake flow. Thanks again,

SBN44 for X2 - Recommendation on what intake manifold

I plan to install an SBN44 on my 1991 X2 that is currently running a 650 with a CDK II 38. I also have limited FX1 (Factory Pipe, 144 Pump) and I like the idea of both my skis having the same Carb (stock one rebuild kit) . . . also hoping that the 44 will give me some incremental performance...

    1991 X2 Steering Spring

Do you know what years / models utilized this desired setup? My initial research indicates 1992 - 1995 X2 and SX's . . but want to be more certain before go hunting. I appreciate the guidance.

    1991 X2 Steering Spring

Just got my X2 in the water. First X2 I have owned. Previous experience has been with Yama's (Superjet, FX1, GP1200, etc, etc). This ski does not have lanyard switch. As I understand it, when you fall off it is suppose to do circles, like the old Kawi stands up use to. My ski continues to go...

FX-1 Looking for FX1 Ride plate

I have ran (still l have) a FX1 122mm Pump with a Skat impeller w/kick one a Jet Dynamics Ride Plate and Jet Dynamics intake great. This was the best set up I found for the stock pump. All bolt in. No big drama. Worked pretty darn well for the small pump set up. I still have the complete FX1...

    FX-1 WTB : Stock FX1 rie plate

For what it is worth, I used a ProTec on my 144mm set up. Had to do a little grinding, but after a full season, it has held up great. I think I paid $95 (new). Good luck.

FX-1 BN34/125 Grommet, Check Valve Source?

I am looking for a source for BN34/125 Check Valve Grommet's. I tore one of mine trying to install it (got the correct tool on order). I'm not going to purchase another entire rebuild kit for one grommet, but would be willing to drop a few bucks for several of the little grommets. Does anyone...

    FX-1 FX1 Factory B-Pipe. Gas Tank touching

Factor B-Pipe install. Just got the tank back in. VERY tight / touching the pipe on one area. Rotating pipe a little either way still has slight contact. By pushing on the tank, I have slid down a double layer of kevlar woven fabric between the pipe and the tank. Is this good enough? Or should I...

FX-1 Bilge Pumps and Check Valves

I would assume one would want to poke the hole as far above the bonding strip as possible . . allowing max freeboard. Was there a reason why you poked it lower?

FX-1 Bilge Pumps and Check Valves

Thanks for the nod. Had the FX1 for a couple years now. Just put the larger 144 pump in it. B pipe and carb rebuild for this winter project. . . and most likely the bildge. All of my riding is lake. My skill level doesn't have the ski submerged that much. . . but I like the idea of having...

FX-1 Bilge Pumps and Check Valves

Might just be a case of the Rule folks being very conservative. I would lean towards you and your friends direct experience. In the end, I think I'll do a 500 GPH Rule, with float switch, with over-ride switch on the bulkhead. See how much water I get given my riding style and environment...

FX-1 Bilge Pumps and Check Valves

From Neil Abrams from Rule Industries (sub of Flow Control) . . "Regretfully we do not recommend check valves for the following: Both Rule and our competitors' centrifugal style bilge pumps have very little air vacuum pressure because there is a large gap between the centrifugal impeller and...

FX-1 Bilge Pumps and Check Valves

Per Bryan Muse at Flow Control . . "we cannot recommend the use of a check valve with any of our bilge pumps. Check valves can cause the pump to air lock at not pump water out. There is the chance that the combination of using a manual switch to turn the pump on/off and the vessel bouncing...

    FX-1 looking for a cover

Last year I purchased a Covercraft cover from TGS "FX-1 700 (1994-1995) Sunbrella Material; Color Option Pacific Blue." $160 shipped to my door. I have been happy with the cover. Product ID: XW422D1. I still have my original FX1 cover. Became VERY brittle. . . strange. Couldn't have seen that...
