Just an update. Stayed with the 13/17 prop in the 144 pump (original shoe), put the Factory B-Pipe, Carb Rebuild/Jet/Spring . . . everything else is stock. All I can way is WOW. What a difference. The pipe made a HUGE difference. So much of a difference, that it has enough power for my skill...

I will most likely use a stock flame arrester that come off a 1995 FX1. Once I get the carb, manifold and compare some Superjet linkage with what comes off the X2. I'll post what pieces I used.

I plan to install an SBN44 on my 1991 X2 that is currently running a 650 with a CDK II 38. I also have limited FX1 (Factory Pipe, 144 Pump) and I like the idea of both my skis having the same Carb (stock one rebuild kit) . . . also hoping that the 44 will give me some incremental performance...

Do you know what years / models utilized this desired setup? My initial research indicates 1992 - 1995 X2 and SX's . . but want to be more certain before go hunting. I appreciate the guidance.

I have ran (still l have) a FX1 122mm Pump with a Skat impeller w/kick one a Jet Dynamics Ride Plate and Jet Dynamics intake great. This was the best set up I found for the stock pump. All bolt in. No big drama. Worked pretty darn well for the small pump set up. I still have the complete FX1...

For what it is worth, I used a ProTec on my 144mm set up. Had to do a little grinding, but after a full season, it has held up great. I think I paid $95 (new). Good luck.

Running standard issue Factory B Pipe.

Factor B-Pipe install. Just got the tank back in. VERY tight / touching the pipe on one area. Rotating pipe a little either way still has slight contact. By pushing on the tank, I have slid down a double layer of kevlar woven fabric between the pipe and the tank. Is this good enough? Or should I...

I would assume one would want to poke the hole as far above the bonding strip as possible . . allowing max freeboard. Was there a reason why you poked it lower?

Might just be a case of the Rule folks being very conservative. I would lean towards you and your friends direct experience. In the end, I think I'll do a 500 GPH Rule, with float switch, with over-ride switch on the bulkhead. See how much water I get given my riding style and environment...
