Have you tired the green tire slime? I had the same problem with my tote, and someone suggested it to me, it has been holding for 2 years now so I think it is working
We all need to meet up at Daytona one day for sure!
Leak was fixed, it was coming in from the scupper area, a little silicone around the versi plugs fixed it.
Now I'm glueing the rails on and turfing them, but here is some pics
I guess I am a bad guy......
I run a tight -5 pole/steering setup
I have dual scuppers
And my read tray is cut with no more hole in it
BUT!!!!
I plug up my scuppers and just use a bilge
I prefer a tight pole
I have a U bolt and a SS tow cable sunk in the tray
No mater where I ride, I carry a...
I had duel scuppers and switched to the versiplug max, they arnt as big, and less pron to fail IMO as long as you keep them clear of debris. I put a SS mesh in front of it to keep stuff from getting in between the ball and keeping it open. And when I am in the surf, I have rubber stoppers I put...
yup, I redid the ebox, and only rode in freshwater, then salt was the last. I need to take a pic of it now, it clean, all of the rust was from the starter relay falling apart
We were at lake Washington in melbourn, then there is Fox lake in titusville, then lake pointset in cocoa. Just look at google maps, they are the biggest ones in the county.
it looks alot worse than it is. The relay is the only thing that is messed up, everything else was sealed with dielectric grease, so it just looks bad (I hope)
went to the lake today and the ski didnt want to start, but it did yesterday, pulled the box out and opened it to see corrosion at its finest! This was 1 week in salt water since I rebuilt it, make sure your box is sealed up!
I pulled the stock siphon back out, and added alot more tubing to it, and double checked the hole and it looked good.
Wilkwy, I just rebuilt the midshaft, and silicone the shaft housing to the hull, when I looked with a inspection mirror on dry land, it still looked like it was in good shape...
here is the latest one, right off the mold. I am sure this will be the final test one, then I will finalize my mold to make the next ones come out much nicer. I added some black epoxy dye to this batch because black is a cool color! and it looks better since I am not turfing mine until I am...
rode again today and it seems everything is working just fine,I do have a mystery water leak into the hull that I haven't found yet, but other than that its riding and handling great since I replaced the steering bearings and rideplate out.
Today slepeopower and littleracer rode with me too and...
I will defiantly post up some more. I might even unbolt them and ride to see how big of a difference it makes. On flat water it was much more stable than stock, I can idle and let go of the pole and balance with no issues rather than shifting my weight all the time, and it's hard to tell if I am...
hopefully at the end of this month, I need one more good flat water day before I feel safe in the surf. I can PM you and KC when we are heading that way
I was using these on my old hull with no problem, I got them at my ACE hardware store, just used some 5200 to glue it in, and I did get a smaller button screw after I put it in
DONE!
Thanks, I should hopefully be able to go out again this Sunday. I thought I would have to glue them on, but with the 9 bolts on each side, they held with no problem, and they are thick enough that I can pick up the ski with them. but once I am happy, i will at lest 5200 them and get some...
