    pulling 750sx dual carb

I've got those screws, took them off when I was exploring the option of pulling the pipe to make room to work on it. Pulling that pipe would be a nightmare, I just haven't put the screws back in yet. That red msd box on the left is, I believe, for water pipe injection?

    pulling 750sx dual carb

I purchased a 750sx as a part of a package deal a while back, and it has yet to run correctly. I'm considering pulling and cleaning the carbs, or parting it out. Is there any feasible way to pull dual carbs on these without taking out the motor? I'm hoping my brain is just overwhelmed by all of...

    Flywheel rub, and stator check

Pulling my motor apart I found that at some point, this flywheel was rubbing! Any info on flywheels and when/if they need to be replaced would be appreciated! Also, is there any reliable way to check a stator when it's not under load? This all came out of a running ski, but I'd like to check it...

Anyone know who Shawn P is?!

    XFT Hull info?

That's around the number I'm looking for, the seller told me this was an 07, which the serial number doesn't seem to reflect. It's been painted.

    XFT Hull info?

Just under 100 as it sits, including nose piece but not the hood. Which seems pretty heavy to me, although I don't know how much it was reinforced.

Best I could do headed out in a rush today.

    XFT Hull info?

I ran into some car issues mid winter rebuild, and I'm entertaining the idea of parting out one of my skis to put towards a truck. I've also always wanted to get some info on what I've got as I bought these skis knowing next to nothing about them. I've got what I assume to be an XFT hull, and I...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Interestingly enough, my car finally gave out today :/ so there's a chance I'll be selling this ski once I get it where it needs to be. There's no way I will put this ski back together any way but with quality, new parts with machine work done by the best so that whether I decide to ride it, or...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Crankshaft out! I have no idea what I'm looking for here. I don't see any physical damage on the bearing housings, but I don't know of what's going on inside. They all spin freely and don't catch in any way, and I hear a faint whirl from them when I spin. The last one pump side seems to have a...

I was not, the seller told me he was running pump gas. Probably should have checked. You live and you learn!

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Wrist pin bearings, what you see is indicative of the condition all around. Salvageable? I just don't know what condition this stuff needs to be in to require replacement. If they appear even remotely questionable I'm likely to replace them.

    Scratch that, it's a 31 mm dome. I was inputting that 1 as an I :/

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Roger that, I'll pull the crank and be on the hunt for a new one then. Thanks for the advice. While I've got it down I don't see any reason not to replace that piston and dome at least. Any suggestions on how to identify what domes I currently have? There seems to be some sort of serial number...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Sent jetmaniac a message, thanks for the advice. Had I been chewing up a bearing would I no doubt see some evidence of that in my crank case? It rotates smoothly by hand and I can't see any metal shavings from where I am in the teardown process. I'm going to split the crank case open tonight and...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

So clearly something went terribly wrong at some point. What I noticed is strange is that the gash in the side of the piston doesn't continue through the rings. Makes me think that this was previous damage, someone tore it down, replaced the rings and called it a day. There's a small spot in the...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Late this season my ski began to run a little funny. It felt out of tune as it lost some bottom end snap. I decided to rebuild the carbs and check out the reeds, but as it turns out I have to pull the motor to do so. Next thing I know, the motor is almost completely torn down and my ski is in...

    ebox without a fuse?

I may have been a bit vague in my description, there is a fuse connection in the box. Do some come with the connection but wired to run without it?
