Just trying to get some reviews on the x-metal waterbox. How do they sound? Is it easy to install with the front exhaust kit and any other helpful info.

I have not had any personal experience, but some buddies at the lake said they have went through multiple MSD's. At almost $250 a pop I am scared to gamble on one. It seems like thats what your doing. You could get one that last for years or you might not. Wax's system sounds pretty cool, but...

Thanks RiverRat! What would be the difference in getting an MSD and modifying the stock. Would there be a noticable difference?

Just got a pipe and need an enhancer. What brands are there other than MSD and how do they compare? I have just heard a lot of negative things about MSD lately, and I don't want to pay $250 everytime one goes bad.

It would probably be more work to change the placement of the exhaust. All I had to do was notch the holds out and glass over them. You will not notice the hump because your foot probably will not go that far forward.

By the way, I wear a size 12 and the front of my foot does not reach the cutout I made for the exhaust. So, it will not affect the feel of the holds in my case. That is how long these holds are.

I will probably end up ordering from them.

They are pretty far back. I had to cut it to get it to lay flat. If not, it will sit on the pipe and be raised up a little. What do you mean by cutting them deeper into the side? I am a beginner at installing holds.

Anyone know of a hardware store or boat store where I can get some foam. Looked at west marine, but it looks like all they sell is a $90 kit. I do not think I will need that much. Looking for a smaller kit that I can pick up somewhere locally in Atlanta.

It might be hard to see, but I had to cut a little piece out of the foothold for the exhaust. I will lay some glass over it when I am finished. But this gives you an idea of how the exhaust comes in.
