i used flexable vent hose on the cut vent in the conversion. attached it to the stub that was sticking out and routed it up to the front of the hood and zip tied it in place. works great, doesnt get in the way, and when the water does come in, it will be forced to the front of the fuel tank...

the motor, ebox, midshaft bearing housing, pump stator, prop, reduction and steering nozzle, and most scoop grates are interchangeable. of course you have two different oem motors in the blaster, 61x single carb, and the 62t twin carb motor, you can still put one in the other though.

i saw something one day at jetmaniac's garage that stuck with me and soon followed the same. got a 6in vise and mounted it to the floor with some large lag bolts, it works great when you need to take off a prop, just use a torch and step on the wrench! works like a charm.

i have the watercross of texas scoop on my blaster, works awesome, especially in the surf, almost sucks the ski to the water. but talk about the braking effect, feels like you tossed an anchor over the side! from wfo let off to quickly and it will throw you over the bars.
