For machinist to do is the flywheel - center part from polaris flywheel, attached to oem yam 62t flywheel(here u have to take care about timing), then put /weld polaris crown on yamaha crown . Then adapt the stator
unit is taking power from batt - so check to have this full(oem cdi takes power from stator). On mine i have no stator at all - only sensor and no magnets on flywheel
actuallyy the pump from a xl700/2001 is exactly what u need - and the impeller is quite good too - but need some glass work and an 155 shue - best is my ideea to make a pumpshue without seal ring like oem style
Any good or bad things - would have been good info for rest of us - about engine - was thinking - even you cut balancer shaft cases should make it possible to add some oil in crankshaft gear location to protect the seals
