i made my own and did it the same way blowsion's is and i haven't ripped my latch out, and ive put it through some rough times. i ended up bending my clip straight ^ this is the clip i bent straight. it was attached to a eyelet on the pole. Point is i put it though a lot of abuse and the hood...

Why would you bore out the stock 90 degree fitting vs putting the one that factory pipe gives you? you would never bore out the stock one as big as the 1/2" one?? Also ive been running the factory pipe setup for 3 years and no issues at all, im not saying that dual cooling wouldnt be better but...
