My buddy has a sn 650 that has a protec pipe and ported head... He was running a single 44 carb but we had a set of dual 38s laying around so he put them on with a protec manifold and aftermarket arrestors. Protec recommended 107.5 mains, 65 lows and 2.0 needles with 80 gram springs... With...

New motor not passing leakdown test

It was a rebuilt sbt crank purchased from jetmaniac last year. I ran it about 20-25 hours in my 61x motor last year. I failed to grease the crank seal last year when rebuilding due to being a rookie and not reading the manual correctly so it definitely could be worn... Any options if it's worn...

New motor not passing leakdown test

just put together my new motor (61x head on 62T cases). I sealed it all up and let it sit for 24 hours before doing a leakdown pressure test. I've found that my brand new front crank seal (oem) is leaking pressure. It will drop about 1-2psi a minute when i pressurize to 8psi or so. Is this...

    Needle seat

Thanks for the info guys! I had called Art already once and didn't want to take up anymore of his time. His recommendation was a 2.5 needle with a 95 or 115 gram spring. He said something about the motor being a shaker that I really didn't understand at the time because I had never changed...

    Needle seat

sorry, I should have stated yes it is a 2.5ns but both the shinny silver and dull silver get me about 10-13 psi Pop off currently. When I spoke with Art at Jetworks he stated that if the motor is a "shaker" that I might need a stronger pop off to keep the carb from flooding. My motor is...

    Needle seat

I recently put together a new 735 jetmaniac ported motor and picked up a blackjack 44mm carb to put on it. On the first ride out the plugs have been fouling horribly, so I bought a pop off tester and my pop off is reading about 12psi! What needle valve would you suggest for a 735 with a factory...

    Steering cable

Weird, I just ordered a OEM cable from jetmaniac and he said he's never seen a blue SBT cable before... I wonder if they've change them recently. This was purchased directly off their site and they sent a warranty replacement the first time this happened.
