Looking good.. Sounds to me like your motors not getting 'on the pipe' until just as you take off - I had the same problem and bored my nozzle out - made a night and day difference! If you fwd this video to 3.30 you'll hear what I mean about pick up as you climb the wake...

Bouyancy for ski's - canoe bouyancy bag in front of tanks/ - slide into place and inflate gently to occupy available space, lasts 6x months between top ups and zero water ingresssion?

I run an Canoe airbag in my XFS - it's a bit like a tube (see pic) - you slip it round the front of the water box or PFP chamber and inflate via the one way valve, it's expands into all the available space and provide stacks of buoyancy - I've only had to top it up one this season and it come...

Serious question - makes you wonder how many people actually ride without their glasses? My eye sight isn't 100% and I wear glasses (apart from when I ride) - I can see well, although not absolutey pin sharp without them - some must have bad eyesight and still ride, perhaps thats what occurred...

And the crank/little end lubrication?....
