Negative. Glorified lower level management with a chip on their shoulder. Difficult to explain the management structure... they are essentially below me, but a step above the managers I'm in charge of. They truly have a job that makes zero measurable difference in the company, but a title that...
Having to deal with people who are not nearly as important as they believe that they are, and having to do so with a smile.

It's very close. I'll try to get some pictures for you guys. I think if the hull is wide enough, you could have the inlet on the Waterbox moved all the way over to the side, shifting the box to the right more and opening up some space.

Thank Ian. I need to get a hold of you soon about the website.
Also don't forget jetskipunk (Tim). He's been integral in bringing this to project to life. More than generous spending his free time slaving over mastercam and a haas vmc. I can't say enough good things about both him and Matt...
A little more progress to report. Definitely a lot going on with this project and a lot of components that have to come together.

Your call. Both are polystyrene and will dissolve. If you do it, make sure to document it and share. Also, make sure to do some thorough testing before slapping it in your ski. It might be a fun project, or it might be a complete waste of time. I've thought about building one, but...
Seems like a bad idea to me, but if you do it, post the results. Composites aren't the answer to every part. And I doubt $100 is the final cost. Did you factor in the XPS foam? Fittings? Cap? Consumables (acetone, sand paper, brushes, etc)? What's your time worth?

I work for a retailer that carries makerbot. We have a demo unit that we try to keep running with something at all times. We had some issues with alignment and then with extruders kicking errors out. Seems to have been resolved now.

To try to ease in the trimming process of each part I designed the plug with a flange that meets up to the contours I want on the steering nozzle. Instead of trying to trim out the sides of every nozzle, I can sand the back of the nozzle flat until the sides fall off. This is how I trim the...
Exactly. Shaping parts like this by hand is nearly impossible. Designing them in a cad software package and then printing makes this possible. The clearance between the trim and inside of the steering nozzle is less than 3mm. The plug has to be extremely accurate, as well as my layup thickness...
Small update. Received a few more parts in.
Cable bracket holder
Custom made all stainless steel trim cable
Steering nozzle plug printing
That's a 60 hour print. Running on our machine at work. Should be finished tonight.
Also aluminum bushings arrived today and the titanium hardware...
Never met miles, but he was the first customer I had. He was super nice guy and I am very sad to hear this. If there is a go fund me or a paypal, please post it. I would like to donate to help his family out with the expenses.

Don't sweat it Rosie, I think most everyone is just doing some ball busting. You can't blame them, that trim setup on such a nice hull makes it just too easy.
I've got an ez pull I'll be selling in a few weeks if you want to pick up a gently grinded on unit for cheap.
