Well I am going to have to do the same. This weekend was our first trip and I probably only rode an hour due to wind and waves. I was almost bleading though. Going to trim like you and might use a different matt where it rubs.

Never checked compression. It's not weak (stock) top or low. Runs great. We have 2 sxi's and they both need a little shot of gas to start up every now and then. I've run against 5 other sx/sxi's and it's been even or faster every time. The more I think about it I don't think the low end is...

I spent a good bit of time messing with the carb last year. I had issues with it dying at high speed. Got that fixed and it runs great low and top end. I could be a little lean on the low end but I think if I was lean enough to cause starting issues it wouldn't run good at the low end...

Well I had bought two new ones already. Went to switch them out last night and both the old ones were working again..?.. I tried the WD last year and couldn't get them to break free. It would be easier to replace them now and not have an issue all season but that would be too easy. I'll keep...

Second year in a row my plunger primers have seized up. First year I drained the gas and did nothing else. Last year I ran oil through them.. didn't work. Any suggestions? Do bulbs last longer / work better? Thanks,

I think your only supposed to make 1/8 turn adjustments at a time. If you were going 1/2 turn each adjustment you probably passed where it needed to be.

If you want something soft you could always get some foam at Home Depot or a craft store and shape your own.

Let us know how it turns out. I recently did mine and now I'm a little worried... If they rub bad I will have to suck it up, make it through the summer, and do the same this winter. CO summers are too short for me to mess with the ski.
