84mm bore on 61x top end???

Can also machine the 701 ada domes on the lathe to accept the 84mm or larger bore. Cost is $12 each. Much cheaper then buying new domes. Just FYI.

    dasa compression ?

My comment wasn't meant to insult you in any way. It was to clarify further from your post. So people who browse this now and later through the search function have an understanding of why they would need to run different domes on same brand cylinder with different displacements. Again I don't...

Help! Uneven Compression on New Motor

That close up of the bore shows it is in need of some attention. It appears to be out of round. I'd suggest checking with a bore guage if you have access to one. There are areas the cross hatch is still mint from the last hone and areas that is totally gone. A ball hone will make it all look...

    Wrist pin wear

Few things to consider. Older xscream pistons use the larger seadoo 951 wrist pin diameter and should use oem seadoo cage less wrist pin bearings. Newer xscream 865-900 SS pistons use the smaller wrist pin and should use OEM honda CR500 wrist pin bearings. If you bought an after market crank and...

    Stroker crank help.

Yamaha calls it driveshaft collar for some stupid reason. Many call it a seal collar or repair sleeve. Yamaha part number 62T-45526-00-00 $20 bucks online or $25 retail I wouldn't bother with a used one. Heat it up for install and use some green 620 locktite so it doesn't come off again...

Other Lets see your porting tools!

Used air tools for years. Even had old dentist type angle tools. Worked well but got tired of listening to it and my hands getting cold. Switched to cc specialties about 4 years ago. Took a little getting used to. The electric doesn't spin fast but it has tons of torque. Other then a slight...

    Engine failure

Lean lean mean. The aluminum went molten on both exhaust sides. Marks in top of piston are from btoken ring pieces after the top edge of the piston melted and the ring broke. Too much egt from a way lean a/f mixture. 31cc domes are way tight for 91 pump fuel so you'll wanna Def revaluate that...

    701 Flattop for Surf ?

If it's set up right it will kick a$$. Flat tops direct the force of combustion directly down into the crank shaft (the whole object of internal combustion engines). Dome tops tend to direct some of the energy from combustion out towards the cylinder walls. I say if it's set up right because...
