I just tore my MCL 2 weekends ago. I am going to try to ride in my Pod MX braces and see how it goes. I've obviously used them for moto but also snowboard in them so there really isn't any reason they shouldn't work.
I have a 2016 SJ that I want to slap a 760 cylinder on for IJSBA lites class. Does anyone know if the 62t cases in the newer SJ's accept the 64x cylinder without have to grind or machine the cases to fit? Do I run a regular 760 head gasket? Or can I go thinner than stock for more compression?
Whats better when doing a Jettrim mat kit for a 16 SJ for Buoy/Rec riding, possibly stock class racing? Keep the stock caps or remove and go Jettrim? Any padding under side mats?
Check your overheat sensor wiring. I chased the same issue for weeks and the PO had the wire for the overheat sensor pluged into a ground and my ski was doing the exact same thing...
And I feel like a total fool!! Never trust how the PO of your ski wired up the Cdi or anything for that matter!!
The pink wire out of the Cdi was wired to ground! I was in constant overheat limp mode...so bummed but happy I figured it out and didn't just keep throwing money and parts at my ski...
Ok, borrowed a very nice Fluke unit and got to testing.
14-17 volts from the Wht/Red pluse coil at idle
BOTH Cdi's Im working with give no readings except when I test Black/Black and it zero's out. Otherwise no other reading can be had from either Cdi. I'm using the screen shot on testing the...
Confirmed with timing light that this is a timing/electrical issue...
Rotating the stator to both extremes produced the same results...no difference in rev limit/lack of ability to rev...
62t stator (JSS new rebuild) and 62t flywheel confirmed
unplug pulse coil, and she revs and idles 10x better...
Current jetting:
Main 115

Spring 65g
Elevation 4500-5500ft
Pop off right at 15-16 psi, crisp full rebuild on carbs
62t/61x, Blue ported 61x, ADA head, B pipe, TnT waterbox, dual 44's
I did a full rebuild this winter on the motor. Everything is new. Blue ported 61x cylinder, dual 44's, b pipe...Is it worth it to ride/break in this weekend riding with the white/red disconnected? Or am I asking for trouble? I need to tune the ski as well as it was not jetted for my elevation...
After replacing the CDI, Stator, and SSS my ski still will not rev up or run smooth. I disconnect the white/red wire (pulse coil) and it revs out fine and even seems to idle smoother. Did the same thing with my last stator.
Why would this be happening if I have a new JSS stator with ebox...
