I am doing the same thing to my X-2; however, I am molding a KX85 seat and mine will be a little lower than yours. I like the look of yours now, the KX85 seat is much shorter so mine will have a little different look. The only thing I am sceptical on is how the stock seat will be better...

A pure flatwater roll I don't think is going to happen on a 650. If I remember right Pete was trying them with a complete mod motor and wasn't quite there.

How did you end up mounting the motor in that hull? I want to do this to one of my skis but am a little leery on what all needs to be done.

Sweet, I also just started airbrushing too. What brush do you have, I got and Iwata CR. I am fairly good at art but airbrushing is tough. I am going to do my registration numbers in the next week or so. I take it this is going to be a play ski and your SXR is you race ski, good combo.

Just for your knowledge, Yamaha didn't start making superjets until 1990 so most likely its a 1990 not 1989. Good luck with your build.

That was awesome, its amazing to see how far the sport has come in just a few years. I would like to see someone try a hood trick on the new hulls.

I took the filler neck off and then attached between the filler neck and the hull. I also drilled holes at the top near the handle pole and mounted it with the stock hardware. The Maier Nose piece is a lot better then the stock one and have one on each of my 650's.
