Not sure how mark or others do it, but you could rig something like what ATVs and Dirtbikes use to just drive the thing into the bed of your truck. Could also put a winch in the front to winch it up the ramp if your afraid to throttle up it. Could make something out of 4" PVC

By test I mean leak tests and injection tests, I'm not so stupid as to try and be doing a full run boost with no water lol

Haven't rode my 650 ;) Though I've never ridden anything but a 650sx and an X-2, so can't relate to other skis handling or performance.

Hadn't thought about a larger pump/inlet^, good observation though and I will definitely keep it in mind as I test my setup. My hull is also -5" short off the back end.
