Does anyone no wat the stock settings are for the low and high mixture screws on a js 440 are?? im pretty sure that it is a 78 model.. also does it matter if there is a little wear on the point of the mixture screw?? ive been searching and all i have found is carbys with the screws on one side...

yer i know there ment to smoke a little.. but when ur riding it you some times feel like you are goin to be sick because all of the smoke you breath in.. also im not using proper jet ski 2 stroke.. im using fully systhetic castrol 2stroke.. could this be my problem?

Ive tryed to search to find this but i cant find anything.. what fuel to oil mixture should i run in my stock 650 x-2? becuase at the moment i am running 50:1 and it is a bit smokey.. also what mixture should i be running my 440 at? im running that at 50:1 also and it is a bit smokey to.. thanks

yer its got a full 550 jet system in it... i had to put a hole new hose into it, the pipe that the water gets pushed up from the jet... What is it that i need to seal up?? thanks so much for the help

Hey everyone Well after putting hours of work into my 440 i put it in the water and went for a test ride.. When i am building up speed, it feels like a clutch slipping... It has power than starts goin faster and then it feels like the jet just stops and the motor revs out then it grabs again...

yer that would be a good way to do it.. also i dont think i need a winch becuase the jet ski's light anyway... Any other ideas?

well i recently brought a kawasaki x2 with a badly designed trailer.. so i have decided to change the part on the trailer where the front of the jet ski holds on.. I need to get some photos or somthing to see how to make it better, with maybe like a winch or somthing.. so if u have any good...

Hey guys.. i ride motorbikes and have just started getting into jet sking and im after a helmet for jet sking... i was wondering weather you can use a motorbike helmet for jet sking?? or does it get to heavy when it fills up with water?? Ash

Wat i did was get a g-clamp and put it on the rubber as tight as you can and then u can hold it so it doesnt spin around when your undoing it....

Yerhh dam.. hopfully its not the starter motor... Where abouts is the solenoid? Is it inside the electrical box? Maybye to check it i could just put a temp wire from the battery straight to the starter motor maybe?? Would this work?? Thanks for the help

Well after about 2 months of putting my jet ski back together i put fuel in it and tryed to start it.... i dont have a primer so i was turning the motor over and over to get the fuel into the carby... The fuel was just about to go into the carby and the battery went flat.. so i put the battery...

no the 550 sx barrel isnt a 87... i will go out and look at it tomrrow...

hey everyone... I have a 1978 js 440... and are wanting a bit more power out of it... So ive got a 87 js 550 sx barrel and head and im wondring weather it would fit on the 440 bottom end?? Any help would be appreciated... Thanks, Ash.
