The hood is more of a lid so it's not like you have to crank down on it to hold it on and I want to keep the dash clean and cushiony for my knees. It hurts slamming your knee into a rachet strap. I broke my kneecap last February and I don't feel like hitting it on anything again.

I wanted to go to Daytona but everyone backed out and one got hurt. @skinnyman called me yesterday wanting to go again so now I'm on a time crunch to get finished. I think it's a long shot but I took off work today so I'll have 3 uninterrupted days to try to finish this thing. I'm glad I did. It...
Hood securement is taken care of. I decided on a cobra buckle instead of a ratchet strap. The webbing will break before the buckle will. I still need to glue a piece of turf under it but that's no big deal.

I'm finished glassing in the rest of my inserts yesterday and I thought I was done with the epoxy but I forgot I had to mount my ultima bilge switch.
I let that cure for a few hours then came back and installed my dual rule 800s
I hope they last a long time. They would be a bit*h to change out...
I made the battery riser today. Didn't quite work out like I hoped but still works. I was hoping to stand the battery up right but their isn't enough room without it pinching the power wires coming out of the ebox. No sense in it just being crammed in there.

One outlet will go to a T. One side of that T goes to the flow control and the other bypasses overboard. The other outlet on the head just bypasses overboard. If you moved the flow control back about 5 or 6 " I don't think it would affect it much

I epoxied in a couple of @Nate_D new prototype hull inserts for my tank. Planning on doing a couple more tonight for the waterbox. I'll still need to make a riser for the battery and add an inset above that. They are pretty sweet. Tall brass nut with plenty of thread and they have a bottom so...
Give Taylor Curtis a call. I think you will like the 950. Pretty smooth and linear and plenty of power on tap for when you want it.

I don't carry a lot of speed surf riding. I like having power where I want it. Taylors favorite surf motor is the 8mil dasa 950. He told me when on a bpipe you can't even tell the difference between the 8mil and the 10mil. It's when it's on a big lay down pipe where you feel more umph with the...
Finished up the chinpad this morning. I had resin all over it from sticky fingers when I was working on it. I got a razor blade and scraped all the resin I could off of it then sanded and buffed it. I decided to go ahead and turf it. I started off with plush 9mm underpadding. Sanded the edges to...
I didn't know what I wanted to do about hull drains and I did a ton of googling. I found these cool little billet o-ringed master cylinder plugs and a couple flanged aluminum bungs I can glue in. I'm debating on having them anodized black. I originally bought some of the thrust micro drains but...
