maybe you should go back the drawing board because pop off pressure is made by the fuel pressure against a closed needle and seat. Once the fuel pressure has piped the beadle open it makes its way into the regulator portion. Diaphragm acting as a bowl to keep fuel in and float so when fuel runs...
Pop off pressure has nothing to do with the regulator diaphragm.
Still don't have a good explanation of how non-pressurized fuel line will make a ski run like "crap"
I understand the tank is pressurized by agitation of the fuel I don't understand how this pressure effects a running ski. The pressure will be different with temp, amount of fuel, how agitated it is to many variables.
I don't see how fuel pressure in a fuel line that is down stream of the fuel pump makes any difference on a running ski. Crank case pulse pulses a diaphragm witch pumps fuel though check valves to create fuel pressure in the carb. Where does this presure in the tank side of the fuel system come...
like I've said multiple times everyone does it different do what works for you. And again two stroke vs four stoke is a bad comparison completely different.
I prime my carbs and hit the start button usually they start within a few revolutions. Once the motor is running it is lubricated by fuel air oil vapor.
Was not directed to the op. he asked if reads can be flipped. Yes they can been answered already. And is not his problem. He lost compression after a ride on a new top end I answered with my insight to his possible problem. All other post was me trying to back my posts to all the naysayers. Like...
You used automobile engines as an example once again a totally different type of engine. I never stated anyone was wrong I simply stated my way of assembling a top end. Your the one saying someone is wrong. Your the ones that make these forums useless. My statements are simply opinions but...
Obviously if you plan on letting a bare piece of steel to sit on the shelf for and amount of time it should have something on it to keep it from rusting. I clean it with degreaser first then put it together dry.
Since all are saying my way is the wrong way what makes yours the right way? What is the need for oil on a cylinder that does no use "oil" for lubrication?
