Here's my carb (choke plate had not been removed yet) and the stock intake manifold I modified to increase flow. I ported the manifold and reed plate to flow air seemlessly to the case. I know there are better manifolds out there but I wanted to improve the stock design. This is a budget...
Do you think running a single screen would warrant going up in jetting the same amount as running an OceanPro Vortex? I know running a single screen would open up the flow of air. I also forgot to mention I removed the choke plate from my carb and am running a primer. Thanks again for your help!
Ok thanks! I would imagine our mods would work well with similar jetting. What is your altitude? What prop are you running? How do you like your setup?
I finished up plumbing the cooling lines and fired it up. It definitely has more BRAP! Now all I need is to get my new carb on. Any thoughts on the jetting?
I just installed my "make it fit" WetJet Kraze pipe and a Westcoast head with 31cc domes. I'm going to throw on my new intake manifold, OceanPro Vortex F/A and 46mm carb next. So what jetting do you think for 4000' above sea level with my new modifications? Right now the carb has factory...
Pipe and cooling hoses are in (minus hose clamps in the pictures)! I'm pretty sure I have the hoses in correctly. I cranked it over for a quick test fire (and I mean short as it still has the factory SBN44 carb with stock jetting) and it sounds pretty mean! I'm going to throw on my new intake...
Great find!!! I had similar luck when I picked up my Blaster and Jammer. I was asking around if anyone had any old skis I could buy for a project. One of my friends said she had a trailer with a couple old Waverunners that she had sitting in her driveway taking up space. She said she was...
I made a relocation bracket for the ebox today. I mounted it up and it looks like the ebox will be perfectly out of the way of the new pipe. I'm going to paint the bracket and then it's time to finally put my ski back together and take it for a test ride!
I welded the pipe a couple days ago. I'm still not sure what prop I'm going to run. I have a brand new Solas YB-SC-K (15-19) that I might experiment with.
I'm in the process of building my Blaster. I ported the case to flow into the exhaust system, new ported intake with SBN46 carb off of a Wetjet Kraze, modified black pipe from a Wetjet Kraze, Westcoast head with 31cc domes (still want to run pump gas), and an Ocean Pro Vortex FA. The choke...
I think I'm going to do the first runs with the factory prop so I have a fair comparison from the stock motor to after the modifications. I'm not sure really what to expect. On paper I should be making a good amount more power but I won't really know until I get it on the water. After I get...
I think I have everything in need so I should get this thing reassembled this weekend. Hopefully I can give it a quick run soon so I can let you guys know how it runs. I'm hoping it pulls good! This has been a fun build and hasn't ready cost that much.
