Haha thanks. Funny thing is it happened on a Sunday and I didn't want to pay for ER visit so I waited until Monday to be seen. They said I waited too long for getting stitches due to risk of infection so I basically just had to wrap it and let it heal the old fashion way.
I have ridden both of these hulls and don't own either one so my opinion is far from bias. Both hulls I've ridden with different engine configurations as well (big and small). I only ride surf and I only ride surf stance so a tray isn't going to be what I base my opinion off and it isn't going...
Thanks guys! Yeah this is a killer surf ski! I'm definitely going to miss it when it's gone, I've put more time into this ski than any other build I've done.

You could D cut it like you said, or just put a narrow notch in the rideplate for the bolt head to fit. Not sure how much clearance you'll have when the bolt is bottomed out but maybe a cap head Allen bolt will help for clearance? Could possibly shim the rideplate down slightly as well
Hoping for better surf soon but here's a quick vid of a small ankle slapper day in 1' of water depth. Hard to get anything done on the face of the wave before needing to hop to the backside to avoid beaching. Still fun though
Cut the bondrails in the back and the front/rear corners to help "release" while riding.
Also turfed the rails and chinpad to match. I didn't want to spend the extra money on another roll of turf but I think it looks much better.

I've been wanting some good surf to rip my Superjet in but Florida gets really flat in the summer. This ski is for sale and I've had requests for video footage so I guess it's better than nothing. Still crossing my fingers for better surf soon though....
