My Cabin on the lake is 7 miles from the beach/ride spot. I ride all the way there, chase boats and flop around once i get there for the day, and ride 7 miles back.. and i do it all quite comfortably on my fiberglass Hurricane. I don't think you would regret your purchase. I won't lie though...

Congrats, your going to love it. Is that a standard length pole? I think your going to want the comp. length pole on a hurricane.

My Gen 1 was a pretty big POS. My hurricane doesn't even compare, hard to believe it came from the same builder, it's a great hull.

Yup, exactly what I do.

I had duckbills on my ski and almost sunk it. Ive since swapped out for versi plugs and super glued a piece of screen to them to prevent the ball from getting stuck open. Zero issues so far, and my hull is bone dry even after letting it sit in the water for awhile.

I wish, too poor right now. My ski will most likely have a maniac 781 in it for wave rave.

I hope it's done, i really want to try out a chan if you'll let me take it for a spin. I'll trade ya my hurricane for a few minutes??? :D

I removed my versi plugs and you can see it's completely open under the tray. I am now thinking about blocking off the drains in the engine bay and pouring 2 part foam from the rear versi plug holes then capping over them. I'd have to rely on my bilge for getting water out of the engine bay...
