I have never rebuilt the carbs. Although I did not notice any gasket after it backed out. So I suppose the previous owner must have misplaced it. I have never taken screws all he way out until now so I wasn't aware there should be a gasket! EDIT: Ok I see it's an O-Ring when I look at pics...

Sounds like you need a superjet. A superjet is the best all around ski. so much fun. But if you really do just want to do beginner modern freestyle, and if you have the money, don't be afraid to buy something like a tigercrfat aquabot with a 701 based powerplant.

I actually have an Aquabot V1. I'm a beginner on it an I love it so far. Just fun to throw around!

Replace that shoe with an aluminum shoe, new wear ring (gap looks pretty big), align properly, and buy a 9/15 hooker (I use this prop for everything from boat chasing to surf to rec riding)
