I run my primer and bilge pump switch inside the engine bay. I'm there to power up the total loss anyways. I leave my bilge pump run the whole time I ride. As others state, hood comes off everytime I'm back to shore anyways.

When you get the extension piece, make sure everything is adjusted so your cable throw is centered with the nozzle and bars straight. You want to be relying on the steering stop to stop the movement, and not running out of cable throw
