Don't be too let down, the Mariner version was made by FPP, branded as and sold by Mariner. Not a "copy". But it was the earlier 2-screw type. Still a great pipe.
I've tried the slide to flop too. Seems I don't get the height I want with that approach. On the other hand, when I do nail the setup wake in that "sweet spot", it's like a boost that kicks you in the ass! Feel like it's about 2-3 ft higher that way for me.
My biggest fail so far is nosing it in straight down and subbing. Not getting the last few degrees I need to either nose it in clean and ride out, or go further for a flatter landing... (only got one of those so far and it was so cool, I forgot to ride away... I ended up in a tail-stand and...
@cammokid43 - I don't know if I speak for all of us here in Amsterdam, errrrrrr Colorado, but I'm good with either the first or second weekend listed. Don't want the 21-23rd date. As you well know, driving/weather conditions can go to poop in a hurry the later in the year that we go... That...
Sounds like a cluster - needs to be re-plumbed correctly. I'm sure I have an extra selector switch around here if you need it. Text me some pics so I can see what you got there. carbs, manifold, head, etc...
I used 2 screws on my A/M hull. But rivets are good too, preferably closed-end pop rivets. Standard pop rivets work, but you have to seal the hole in the middle with 5200 or else they can leak into the hull.
Mcmaster calls them "sealing blind rivets" -...
Sounds like the greater Denver (or Colorado Springs?) area might be a fit for you... Check out our newly created Riding group Forum here. We have recently tried to get some rides together to meet up with other riders in CO. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?social-forums/colorado.8/
@Kohldanielzimmer - can I drop by for a test ride? I'm in Fresno now, for a meeting. Too bad I won't be here long enough to hit pismo on the weekend!

But welcome anyways and looking forward to meeting up!

Thanks again to everyone for coming out. Especially those who made the long drive @FPF @Snivilous - and had to deal with the thunderstorm overnight! @FPF
I think I counted a total of 17 stand up skis - 5 from the Denver area, 4 from Colorado Springs, 7 from Pueblo, 1 - Unknown (yellow...
One of my buddies from Colorado Springs will be there Saturday afternoon/evening.
If anyone has bouys to set up for a race course, this would be a great place for it. @Austin @FPF
