    TigerCraft SV1 build

Thanks to @Tpete115 for hooking me up with a piece of turf I needed, I was able to wrap this up. I have become quite indecisive the older I get and being I had to tell my wife this his "her" new ski. We went, round and round about what color turf to use, waited forever to get it from a buddy...

Still haven't got all my turf, but I had enough to do the rails and the chinpad.

This is what it looks like after curing. This is SEM hot rod black, single stage urethane. It's a great product!

I made some mounts for a foot strap for the ski. Car wax in an ice cube tray, thickened epoxy goes in, then ss t nuts with clay in the threads. Pop them out, drill center, then open up the hole for the bolt. Then glass them down.

I guess there is a lot more to building hulls, than just buying the molds? Who'd a thunk it?! I think that is what most people need to see, and that's why prices for quality skis are where they are! I'm no hull builder but I appreciate greatly the work that goes into a well built hull!

I didn't ride for that long, I have a have a long plate on it and long pole. It was stable, carved well and was able to break loose when you wanted it to. You can see n in the pic the lake was like glass! It's seems like it will be a blast in the surf, that's the test I am ready for!

Made it too the lake with the skis yesterday. Still need to get turf, and didn't have a bilge or drains in the back, and forgot about the unused trim tube being open. I had to ride it though!

    Ride reports on SV1

Great review! I like what you mentioned about hard landings on some skis, that is the main reason I was wanting a heavier ski for the surf. It sounds like TigerCraft hit a home run, with the changes made!

I couldn't go any higher because the bolt needed to be below the body line.

Yea bolts in the Cold Fusion mount, the fuse cover is really close to the carbs, but in between them. You definitely want to have the motor in to mark the bracket location with a marker.

I got it all together and fired it up! I trimmed two inches off the pole tubes, and the steering cable is a bit short still, but will work. After making brackets to mount the ebox to the firewall I realized it would be easier to mount it on the side, which is what Tony had mentioned also. I...
