The pump seal is indeed installed backwards. They likely added the 5200 and flipped it to make up for a gap and still use the lip seal.
You can avoid the gap by properly shimming and aligning your pump shoe when glued in.

We laugh, but look at how many they sold. Put a lot of money in business pockets and gets people on the water.
If a buddy is new to the hobby and has 6k, I'd rather them buy a spark and ride with us then a used beat FS ski that never works and ask me to fix it...
