Top nose piece glued on..
Assembled the bottom end with an sbt crank. Should have taken some before pics of the cases. Were a real mess. Had water sitting in them for awhile by the looks of them.. Took forever to clean them up. Of course like an idiot after 1211’ing and torquing to spec I was...
Haha yea they are pretty cool..I’ve had that one a long time. I hadn’t used it in awhile but I started using it for workouts..makes squats and overhead presses more interesting..that is if I could get this fx done..haven’t touched a weight in over a month..any free time is spent on that thing
96 was the first year of the round nose and first year of dual carbs..The bottom was the same as the square nose but they ride different with the pole bracket location and you can’t get good aftermarket hoods for squares anymore. Round noses were the same from 96-07 and then they changed the...
That was my old ski..just a 96 round nose superjet with tubbies/quick steer and a ported motor. I just built my new ski almost identical..for me personally I can’t ride aftermarket hulls like I can a pre 08 superjet..I feel like the extra width/wide rails keep them from lying over when you are...
This is what mine was doing in the thread I posted. Runs fine in the water breaks up out of the water when I go to clear out waterbox..once it sits for a day or so it rev’s fine
In my signature? (edit: didnt realize it imbedded full size..couldnt see on mobile) Thanks.. hopefully a new one coming soon..trying to line up a camera man when the waves are good..
Looks good. Unfortunately you will be in the same boat as me hand sanding between the new rail and tubbie. Not fun..Although your mini belt sander will come in handy I’m sure
Will definitely be easier to remove than marine grade flange sealant..especially with an aluminum shoe.
Pretty frustrated after 6hrs of sanding today..could spend another month on it and still not Be happy. Can’t reach with a tool so all by hand.. Most of it is on the bottom under the rails...
Hood liner installed with 5200. Not the most sanitary install but out of the plexus/silicone/5200 that was holding in the old one the 5200 seemed to adhere the best. Doesn’t fit very well in the front and judging by how much plexus was in the corners the original one didn’t either
Looking for an older Jet pilot side entry neoprene vest size medium. (No A10’s) Not a fan of the newer vests and mine is on its last leg after 14years. I found one I liked but it’s a large and it rides up..used is fine thanks
Debating what to use to install pump shoe. Usually use that bostik 920fs that blowsion used to sell for tubbie installation. Similar to 5200 but not as permanent. Want to Be able to remove it fairly easily if I do the pump swap..silicone? Any other suggestions?
Laid up the bottom nose piece and put another coat of Aluzine on the top. Of course I’m a few pumps short of west systems to finish the side of the tray and glue the nose pieces on. Have some random epoxy circa 2006 but I’m afraid to use it. Going to finish the body work tomorrow and get it...
