I have the Jet Dynamics ride plate and it really helps prevent the FX1 from spinning out. I heard that adding a set of front sponsons really helps with stability a lot as well.
Just recently I saw a 18/23 swirl prop for the FX1 122mm pump for sale on the Facebook FX1 group for $250. I heard that's the best prop to use for a stock 122mm FX1 pump. I think it's still for sale.
Thanks for the reply, Mike. I heard everything from 3mm setback to 8mm setback when using the SXR800 prop in a 650 pump. Did you have your SXR800 prop repitched at all or is it completely stock? I think I remember reading that @Big Kahuna said the stock SXR prop was manufactured by Skat Trak...
I went through this same scenario, but I decided against the 122mm pump and I (and many others that have done this) have no regrets going with the Kawi 140mm pump swap. It would be so much better.
There was a video on Youtuber of a guy with a FX1 that was running the Rad Dudes FX1 waterbox and it sounded great. I think I'll have to get one too. Nice work on the build...........top quality work!
I have the same aluminum aftermarket pole mount (mine is a UMI) and I was worried and aftermarket hood latch wouldn't work well with it. What was the issue with yours? Was the hood still loose with the Cold Fusion bracket?
The 96-07 Superjet would be a great choice for playing in the surf and freestyle. This one in the pictures has a Factory B pipe and ADA head (both must have mods that you'll love).
Yes, absolutely. Add a Factory B pipe, ADA head at 180PSI and it'll really wake it up. Those new 4 stroke Superjets are SOOOOOOOOOOO disappointing and many people have bought them and sold them immediately after. You'll love the 2014 SJ!
