Thank you for the information I really appreciate it. This will be my first time riding in California, all of my riding in the past has been on the east coast and the Midwest.
The reason I ask, is because the OEM Kawasaki Sxr‘s have the fire extinguisher on the underside of the hood. But the...
Ah, California at its finest.
I’m ok with the CL, whistle, and license. Biggest challenge will be mounting the extinguisher. Have to figure that out. Do you know where it’s stated that it has to be accessible? Couldn’t find it.
But did find this:
Free style/Trick riding is not permitted...
Thanks for letting me know, wasn’t aware. Any other Ca nuisances? I couldn’t find much on-line, just USCG requirements.

Primed the lines with the old windpipe and the first start was completely successful. Started, idled like a champ. Thanks Paul !
Working on a fire extinguisher mount (in Ca it’s almost certain I’ll get interrogated on a lake) and have some reg numbers on order.
Final glamour shots, I love how...
Minor progress… finished making the bracket, pump mounted. Found that the rubber dampeners that washers/dryers are shipped with worked great to cushion the pump a bit.
But… my OCD is acting up and thinking of making another bracket with much less epoxy and/or a flat clear and align the fiber...
Check your nipples
Still working on the external pump set-up. Instead of combining two 5mm ID lines into one larger 6mm ID line to match up with the external fuel pump inlet, I decided to change out the nipples in my new RRP tank to 5/16” from 1/4”. Though they look bigger, the internal...
Yes, I’m running a php intake with a vforce reed cage. It would be fine with a stock manifold/reeds.
I too have rubbed holes in silicone exhaust hoses in the past, it’s just a matter of time with contact.

Thank you.
The tube is a few mm’s smaller in diameter, so it would have been a hard interference. I’m sure it would work, but I like the tube. I’ll figure out something trick for the pump.

While figuring the fuel pump, decided to polish and coat it, decal’d it.
Hate to put the reg numbers /
Stickers on it.

More progress today, motor in, carbon exhaust pipe and tube in. The carbs hit the tube, so going to use an external pump.
Turf done, came out ok. For some reason I always seem to trim something a bit short. Was a bit tricky fitting the FFH with the ebox bracket right where it wanted to be. Nice...
Can’t say I ever look forward to any turf job, but at least this one is only tray and front bulkhead. Foam almost done, used 25mm, 26mm a slice of turf between layers in the footholds, and some 10mm. shave and sand party tonight.

A bit of progress this weekend in between family stuff. Electrical complete, bilge complete. I did have to move the ebox over to clear the head pipe.
Getting close… have to fit-up exhaust, FFH, and the tray turf.

Good to know, thanks for the feedback!
I presumed since it wasn’t marked, but forgot to verify before buttoning it up.
