So I have finally got tired of messing with my 550 ebox. As many of you know, I'm running a 750 with 750 electrics custom installed in my 550 box. More like crammed in there with an externaly mounted coil. I have had it with this setup b/c it's so hard to work on. Does anyone have any pics...
I've done the "front flip exit". It's an old school trick where you do a front flip over the handlebars & you land in front of the ski as it reverses backwards. I couldn't imagine the ski doing a front flip. Like slutty said... ugly. I can post pics when I get home.
Ran great! I had some issues with the starter coming OFF yesterday. Got it back on, but now I have no spark. I probably missed plugging something back in the ebox, but I'm going to try to mount a 750 ebox in there this week. I'm tired of fighting the 550 box. I'll update the thread again...
It's always some little thing that seems to catch me too. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my ski kept cutting off when I let off of the throttle the last day in daytona this year, but it would run fine on the beach. Turns out I didn't tighten a nut on the throttle cable.
word  Mine isn't really faded too bad anyway. I keep it indoors, but it is dirty as hell. I'm assuming degreaser would be safe on it before sanding. BTW here is my build. http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/20940
edit: on second look, I guess it has faded a bit. I'll get to sanding and...
good idea about the scotchguard. I'm going to try to clean my yellow turf & possibly bring it back with some fabric paint, then scotchguard. We'll see how it works out.
the pulse line runs from the carb to the motor. It's super simple to replace. Just pull the one one off & put a 1/4id hose back on. Not even any clamps required.
replacing the coil is easy too & I'd just get another stock coil, but make sure the new one is good. Maybe buying one new is...
