Just to document for anyone who wants to know.... it cannot be rotated without modification to the commutator. There is a timing tab that holds it in place on the back cap, real bummer. Good news is my brushes are still like new, greased her all up and the aperture got a fresh cleaning:)

Been wondering this myself. Doing a 550/650 hull build with a 750sp. The 650 waterboxes I have look to be the same id/od as my 550 boxes..... hmmmm.
