50 vs 110ksi tensile strength brass to 316 stainless, down from 170ksi alloy steel. I think the higher strength stainless is probably a better choice, anytime I've used a brass fastener it seemed like butter haha

Fiber reinforced injection molded plastic hulls maybe cheaper, seadoo agrees, but hey you gotta start somewhere.
