Maybe I'm not seeing this properly, but if you install the strap this way... why would you need the bottom strap if the ratchet is bolted down? It makes sense if the ratchet is installed on the hood, but seems pointless in this configuration.

2010 Superjet 781 BB motor, B pipe etc....ride flatwater and surf 2-3 times a week. Like the poster above, I have a pretty nice video rig at my disposal as well if needed.
