I extended my ride plate for two reasons. Handling and to protect the pump components on landings. The longer plate extends past the point where the trim ring is bolted to the steering nozzle. And after a couple of huge flat landings, there were deep scuff marks on the ride plate where the bolt...
Yeah. Just tried it out for the first time. I had to "V-cut" it because the ride plate would slap my steering nozzle and bending it on flat landings. This way it still protect the pump components w/o bending the nozzle. So far it's working out great.

I'm rocking these Rhaas motor mounts in my 2013 XFR this year. Strong enough to handle surf riding and soft enough to manage the engine vibration. I'm very impress so far. Robin is a very nice person to deal with. Doing what he can to promote our sport.
Finally got my 2013 Rickter XFR dialed in. It's powered by X-Scream SS900cc. I would like to thank all my sponsors: X-Scream, Liquid Militia, Hydro Turf, Blowsion, Rhaas Products, Jet Connection, RRP, and Impros for all the support.
I'm running the same set up as most of the guys on here. Just an OEM hood latch w/o any other straps. I haven't had any problems. If you have the XFR, the ski is bullet proof. I've seen by buddy sand dart that thing 20 times w/o any damage. Good luck..
