Single cooling is enough for a stock motor with bolt ons.
Line from pump to through hull fitting.
Line from bulkhead to exhaust manifold.
Water then runs through the exhaust manifold, into the cylinders, and out of the head. (If using stock head, cap the 1/8" outlet).
Line from the head to...
Stock FX-1 carb specs are: jets - 115 and 135, 1.5ns, and 115g gold spring.
The other springs are silver - 95g, black - 80g, and polished silver- 60g if i remember correctly. People throw lighter springs in the carb for lower popoff pressure when using a/m air filters and exhausts.
I think your right, when i ordered mine less than a month ago that was the rumor.. The woman on the phone told me they may not have any in stock and it might take a couple weeks to make them. But then it arrived at my door 4 days after I called.
Buy new, its well worth it.

I lay the diaphragm on the fuel pump body, then dip the rubber pieces in 2 stroke oil and push on the flat side with my thumb till they pop through. Then spin them around untill everything sits right.
Since I spent more on ski parts and less on concert tickets this year, I did the next best thing and pirated some footage from Austin City Limits. This was earlier today, around 4 central time. Thought yall might enjoy this since this song has become a bit of a theme song for freestyle! He...
Same reason Mac's cost 2 to 3 times what a comparable PC build would cost. The apple logo is actually a mind control device designed by NASA, those are expensive.
I use Adobe Premier Elements. Its very powerful, but it does take some time to learn. If your looking for something more basic I would recommend Corel Video Studio. There are also some free editors out there, but I've never thought any of them were worth a crap.
Premier elements and most...
Somehow, fuel is getting into the waterbox. Flooding the engine with too much choke, or a leaky n/s in the carb are the first things I can think of. If you need a new waterbox, PM me. I have a used 750sx waterbox in good shape I need to ditch.
Yea, I discovered that using a clamp helps - One end on the fuel pump side, and the other end on the fuel block - little pressure to compress that rubber seal below it is just enough to relieve some pressure on the screws. Do carb kits come with the o-ring around the needle seat? Mine crumbled...
Wish I had the tools to pull that off lol. I wire brushed them out this afternoon, they look much better. I cant quite get down inside the n/s area. The only wire brush I had is the wheel, and the nylon cup doesnt do much. What about the passages as well, just carb cleaner? Since yall have...
Your right, it seems every used carb i come across is crapped up somehow. I drilled out the screws and got to the jets, Im currently trying to get them out. One thing McMaster is good for - still have a bag of 48 stainless screws from when i replaced 2 in a carb a while back. Can you guys...
