But with that being said, I ride regular on a skate board and snow board, but ride goofy on a jet ski.
It depends on what your calling a "midshaft"
If your speaking of the "short-shaft" it self then SJ 94+ and B1 shafts are the same length and diameter perhaps others, but those are the only ones I know for certain will fit.
If your speaking of the "housing" there are many boats that are the same.

don't know if it'll help for the bushing style system, but on my UMI bearing system with x-metal turn plate I made sure to clean the threads on the large studs very well before assembly. I used brake cleaner. And then used a brand new nylon nut with tons of red loctite
