Actually she offered before I even took everything apart, I would never force her to pay for anything; however, since she is offering to help since it was her mistake, I will let her. It will help to ensure it does not happen again once she sees how expensive it's going to be.

I had fired it up for a bit before that. The system was full. Its nice to hit the button and have it start right up with out doing anything. I will get a longer video later.

So I just had my motor rebuilt at jetworks and fired it up for the first time last night and it sounds so much different than it did before. Was wondering if it sounds off to you guys too. It has a b pipe head and factory waterbox. Thanks!

That's what I said 8 posts ago.. I had the same issue with my 650sx with the pisser and found out it was my head gasket. Before diving into the carbs and messing with all that complicated stuff, get yourself a new head gasket and go from there.

So I pulled the midshaft housing to check my pump alignment and it looks pretty good to me. I shimmed the front with 2mm and the rear with 1.5 and got everything to line up finally. Water testing next week to find out just how good of a job I did. Thanks for all the suggestions and help!

d-cut the stock one using a Folgers can as a template.... that's what i did and surprisingly it worked great. i mainly ride surf though. :)

Congrats on the new ski! To get rid of the chine walk I usually keep the ski leaned over a bit when going straight, it will cause you to go at an angle but keeps the ski from walking back and forth. Also I would suggest getting the exhaust before a prop otherwise you are going to have to buy a...

My exhaust hose is the same all ballooned out and such.

brand new pump bearings and new shaft from Jetmaniac last year so i do not see how that could happen after 2 rides on the new shaft and bearings. This ski has had everything replaced in the last 2 rides.

If the pump is not shimmed correctly can't that cause this issue as well?

They should be the same. I swapped motors between two 94's that had stock couplers. I am going to pull the midshaft housing tonight when i get home just to double check to make sure my pump is shimmed properly because thinking about it if that is not properly shimmed then upon rotation it could...

I aligned the pump when I replaced the midshaft last year so I know that that is good. The midshaft is a cold fusions shaft with only one season on it so I do not think that the shaft is bent. I wonder if the midshaft is not pressed far enough out, because when I push the motor back all the way...

So I am at the point where I trying to shim my motor and just cannot get all of the teeth of both couplers to line up. The motor is in with bolts to hold it in place (loosely) pushed all the way back. The first thing I notice is that the tooth on top that is connected to the midshaft is about 1...

Is it me or does it look like there might be water on the bottom of the plugs? If the head gasket is letting in bits of water it can make it bog when first starting up since it is not hot enough to get left over water to evaporate. I had that issue with my stocker a while ago. Just a thought.
