One of the best nozzles is the skat reduction nozzle. It is the most efficient design but limits trim movement. Might be able to modify it to give more throw.
I have a 10/16 in there now. Also had a 140mm mag with a 14/19. It had awesome hook up and I could tell everything about it was better, but the extra weight made the ski handle differently so I went back to a stock pump set up. Plus I just felt the motor was working harder and didn't rev as fast...
I have a 85.5mm bore lamey pv motor Stock stroke. I have been through a number of set ups including a hooker impeller and 140mm mag. Best all around set up I had was a tbm cone and 13/17 skat or 13/18. Currently have a hooker impeller and tbm but am going back to a skat 13/17. The hooker just...
I would have to ride them. From pics they just don't look like they hold you in very well. More like exagerated lifters. I noticed sone surf guys adding enclosures on the holds bc of that reason. How much weight do the rrp hold add? I have noticed rrp has a tendency to over engineer stuff. I had...
Buy a 15k jetski engine (with all bolt ons). Wife gets pissed and leaves u when u swamp the thing.......then takes half of everything. Expensive! Hahaha
144mm mag for sure. I ran a 140 and found it loaded the motor a little too much and was heavier. The 144 mag is spot on and will handle any motor u throw at it. Eme only runs a 145mm kawi mag and they are making more power than other motors out there.
I switched back to a sj hull bc I am the most comfortable on a sj. I felt although short hulls are great for flips, you miss out on allot of old school tricks with the short hull. I still really enjoy the technical flat water stuff that peaked my interest in the sport. I just enjoy riding more...
Sadly, I think the sport is dying off due to many factors. OEM's are backing out and have been for some time, cost of parts is high and that sucks in a down economy and lastly allot of guys (myself included) have had priorities shift. Many younger guys may be getting married or having kids and...
The section on the nose is a pearling chine. It prevents the nose from digging in as u go down the face of a wave. It also helps pop the nose when you hit your take off wake. It is cool to experiment with bc you achually feel the nose come up when you drive it into you wake. I was skeptical when...
Got some footage of Will rolling it. The camera was running out of juice but I think we got it. The ski rips and carves really hard as well as does not ride with the nose in the air. I was trying to show how flat and stabe the ski manuvers. That is something people complained abt other hulls
