haha ya st marys is pretty cold. The lakes in March are about the same. Watch CL and Pick up a deal on a 4mil+ wetsuit. it adds 3 months of ride time to your season in this climate.
pshhhhhh, may is when we take the wetsuits off lol. Lakes open 1st week of March assuming they are ice free. I know you have cold water gear if you're a kayaker. I'll be at Boyd or cherry creek opening weekend depending on which one opens first. Throw on your drysuit or wetsuit and bring that...
@Scraggly would probably have better advice with vernier. He has been I the industry a lot longer than me and probably used vernier a lot years ago. I avoid it at all costs. We have a depth mic with vernier that we use but other than that I'm a believer in the digital age.
We use these ones in our shop. Just over 100 on this site but I'll bet you can get them cheaper with a quick Google search. They seem to work good enough to make class two implantable devices like bone screws in an FDA regulated shop ;)...

I just liked the way the rickter ones looked. Lol I know that's a dumb reason but it's the truth. To be honest, I wonder if the install would be more straight forward on the Bob ones? Not sure. I didn't really look into them.
Hood off to dry everything out during ride season. Left over water in the engine bay from your last ride gets you a one hour decontamination adventure prior to launch. Over winter I put the hood on because it should already be dry. Never really thought about what would be best over the winter...
