What zach said, Mine needed the thread's cleaned off, but after that i had no problems with it screwing on. I did use teflon tape also.
As for the trim tube, get a flash light and see if you can look thru it. Mine had been plugged for no trim use and there was some excess silicon in there still.
Haha that looks funny, i have a comp pole now, but i think its going to be to short for what i want. Wish you could just buy a mid length still.

I cant seem to get a consistent answer, i am looking for the measurement from the pole bolt To the hole in the middle that the steering mounts in. Want shortest adjustment and longest adjustment. If anyone that has one of these could post up i would greatly appreciate it.

My ride plate is the same right now, trying to aquire a full length plate to play around with too. What you described is what i am worried about.
A full length would give me a extra 3 inches and i could turn the riser bars back up. But...
Oh yeah i know that it will be way different in the water, If it was actually like it is on the stand it would be un-ridable LOL. I have a Blowsion Phatclamp system on it now with 50mm risers rotated almost all the way back.
It sucks that they stopped making the MID length pole a while back...

Okay from the center of the front motor mount looks to be about 12.75 and from the bottom to the lip is about 12.25 to 12.50 it's a little hard to tell because mine has a pod for a kart tank right now. But that's a close figure.
