What kawi ski ski that cable for?
I used a 1993 750sx cable with no mods other than grinding out the Yam cable holder at the carb. The kawi cable is vastly superior to the Yamaha cable and 1/2 the price. :bigok:
Thanks for the heads up to Matt_E
lighten it for cheap? Take the motor out :jester:
J/k, the stock pole weighs a ton as does an alum one for a squarenose, look at getting a stock roundnose pole.
I also agree to swap the stock fiberglass waterbox to an alum one. Go with an aftermarket one or OEM one from a roundnose...
It says they are running 12mil cranks. They posted another video that shows a hull similar to the rickter or FS1 with the pole pivot moved out to the nose.
Got a stator & flywheel from Chris, aka #.0
Great price, got here VERY quick and looks great. What more can you ask for?
The face of the flywheel is clearcoated to prevent rusting after he lightens it.
Would recommend to anyone.
That was the bahamas, I recognized the Atlantis hotel in one of the shots.
The island where Atlantis is built used to be called 'hog island'. Guess there are still a bunch of hogs there.
Sweet trip! I'd be freaked out riding in that clear water though, can't tell if its 6 inches or 3 ft.
I...
I found a whole bunch just sitting around in Daytona
J/k!
actually somebody took mine this year. little did they know, it had a screw stuck in the bottom and was ready to spring a leak at any time.
Crap, link is dead now. It was: http://www.jetsport.de/gallery_africa.htm
http://www.jetsport.de/index.html works, but the old pics of that ski are gone.
It was welded to the bottom of an alum pole and strapped down.
I missed this bofore somehow.
Awsome project! I love it
I had the site bookmarked that showed the visser pole support setup. You gonna weld up an alum support for the pole similar to that?
I think you'll have to cut the stinger end off of it and turn it so it would be facing the front of the ski like all other SJ pipes. Otherwise, it would be taking a 90deg turn right into the side of the gas tank or maybe in front of it if you're lucky. I don't think you have any room in that...

You'll need a grinder with some 40-80 grit paper, duct-tape, epoxy resin & fiberglass cloth or mat, paintbrush for epoxy, sawzall, cardboard, Dustmask, prolly more I'm forgetting.
