now you get to do it 3 more times!!

1 topdeck-part
2 bottom deck- mold
3 bottom deck- part

that is a lot of work and a lot of resin. and then the build begins. what a project.

looks great so far. can't wait to see he part going together.

Thanks Tom!
I am not going to spend the time I did.... on the bottom deck mold. THe bottom gets trashed after 3-5 beachings, so I am not going to make it as perfect as I did on top. Not going to make any parts until the bottomdeck mold is done. Starting that Sun.....ugh!

LOL I can see how much you are looking forward to it. I bow to your greatness, I dread the day I get a wild hair and convince myself that somehow this is a good idea and I need to do it.

Dude...Hats off!!! That was a complicated mold to pull off without a hitch. Good job! The bottom should be a breeze compared to that....(just keep telling yourself that as you crack into another 5 gal pail of tooling resin :trink26:). :woot::woot::woot: Cheers, Keep up the good work!

About how much $$ is that?

Good work.

I intentionally do not add the costs up, becuase I dont want to be pissed I didnt just buy a trinity hull....LOL If anyone thinks its cheaper to build A lightweight then buy one there sadly mistaken.. (I plan on building more then one) This time next year I do not want to own a single stock hull.

It ended up being 16gallons of tooling rez somehow. I only have 5 spare gallons, gotta take a trip down to Flash's area to get 10 more next friday. Need to order more supplies ASAP for the bottomdeck! :banghead::banghead:

Thanks again guys for all the good words.

AND THANKS TO FLASH GORDON, PANCAKE AND JOE! You guys helped me A TON so far! (and will be helping more in the next 2 months I'm sure...LOL)

It's not cheaper to buy one from a company if you're planning on making several hulls from the mold. But I do understand where you're comming from.

Is this hull stock length or is it chopped?

Thats true.

I chopped the plug 1.5". Very conservative chop. I would never ride a full length hull ever again. -1.5" is where it STARTS getting fun. The boat I build for myself will probably be -4".

I like the builder of the year comment. We will have to make you some crappy present like a set of stock steering mounted to a plaque. Might throw on one of those water seperators we always take out.

Tom, you forgot the bulkhead... that makes 4 more times...

Oh ya I should have updated. I had to take down the resin lab for the summer (its at my moms house and she doesnt want to look at it during warmer months...lol). I am ready to start the bottomdeck plug, just have no where to do it. If I secure a location to set back up I will push on. If not, project gets delayed till October and I will restart then.
