reposting here to keep with discussion topic.... Why not a cart setup to use an adjustable drive belt wrapped around the ski's shaft? Sure you have to solve for fitting around/between the intake grate, belt tensioning & slipping on the non-sprocketed driveshaft, the ski overheating, etc. But...

I think you'll find those carbs are hard to dial in for our application. It can be done but they are finicky from what I've read over the years. Spigot mount are even worse. YMMV

That's fine and dandy when purchasing new but that's not the scenario here. Dealers can't expect everyone to be able to afford new and there to be no used marketplace.... This is a case of some A-hole F'ing it up for all markets.
