put a piece of hose over it and smash it down with a clamp or zip tie. silicone works too or a rubber cap with a small hole on the capped end to seal around the housing.

duh. that's the whole issue. dumping major water into the chamber kills power. dry the chamber out increases power. if you put a T in the waterline going to the chamber, it'll dry it out some and increase power. put in a new 2 1/2 " coupler and report back
