    Cheapest "good enough" TIG welder?

I got a smoking deal on a "demo" Lincoln Square Wave 200 that wasn't even opened. Found it on marketplace. I was going to get the Miller 200 but they had a lot of problems with the board dying and it's an expensive fix, so I started looking around for the Lincoln. It's not a cheap brand, but...

1/2 Colored hose, where to find?

That tubing has the same issue as another I found. The wall thickness is 1/16. Even the smaller 3/8 cooling line we use has 1/8 wall. Not sure I'd trust it.

1/2 Colored hose, where to find?

I posted the same question six months ago with no solution. It doesn't seem to exist in 1/2".

Have you seen the new-ish Adam Sandler, Hubie Halloween? It was supposed to be the dumbest thing he could come up with, which was in response to not getting any awards for his serious role in Uncut Gems. To me it feels like a throwback to when he made good movies. A lot of people from the old...

    Billet Head

If I remember correctly, my squish is .050” with a stock gasket and there’s still room to take more off the head. I’ve used copper gaskets on older kawis and got the squish tight. I blew up a 550 because I forgot to check squish when I put on a westcoast head with the copper gasket.

Group K did a great job. When I've done the solder check on the squish, it seems to be even across. I tore my engine down a couple days ago, so I had a good look at the dome shape. It's very close to what you seem to be after. Looking at pictures of ADA, I can see the issue. I still think you...

Having worked at a shop that modded motorcross, karts and sleds, I'm blown away by that number. 4 hp on a 250cc by just changing dome shape is huge. Watching the master at work in the shop, and seeing the numbers on the dyno with each mod gives you a real appreciation for what it takes and how...

Other Yamaha oem made in China?

I think he's talking about a guy in Australia filling a void by doing something very similar to an American part we can't get anymore and having it produced in China with a high standard of quality.

Other Yamaha oem made in China?

I've had the opposite experience with Ford. My ranger and F150s have never had an engine issue. I lease now, but I used to put more than 350k on them. F150's had most parts original too. Just did ball joints and one U joint on the rear drive shaft on my 06 with 370k.

I worked for Honda Manufacturing for a while so I know a bit about Japanese perfectionism. There's a good and bad side to it. They do try to get things perfect, but if it's not, they don't want to admit they didn't do it right the first time. The Civic always has several problems that can be...

Why not just knock on the door and tell them you know your ski is there? If they don't let you take it home now, you'll wait out front for the police to arrive. I can't imagine many thieves would want to deal with police.

    Chev Ford RAM

I lease now because I don't do much driving anymore. It had 60k. It had the auto start/stop. No battery issues, no starter issues, but I didn't have it long enough to develop something. The battery is huge, so it should be okay. It's not like the really small and cheap quality battery honda uses...

I'm on my second truck with the 10spd. No issues. I find it very smooth. It's interesting to watch it accelerate and skip every second gear if you have the RPM up enough. I only had the last one four years, so nothing too long term.

State Farm insures everything for me right now. They also said it wouldn't be a problem to insure it, but like everyone else, they later said they don't insure standups because they're more dangerous than couches. I just put in some security cameras, so hopefully that'll deter theft in the...

They changed the plugs. They used to look like the ones in the picture. The design was really bad for building carbon on that stupid shaft that goes into the head. Now they're threaded the whole way. I've had great luck with f150's. Always had the V8 with no issues. My 06 had 370,000km with...
