So a buddy and I were bored hanging out in the garage the other night, and decided to shape some metal. It's still a work in progress, but it's looking good so far! The plan is to fit it in the front fuel fill port, and then have a normal fuel cap where the pickups would have been. -Rob

I ride in contacts all summer (Ciba night & day, wear a month at a time, no removal or cleaning.) I can't stand riding without some sort of eye protection though, cheap gas station sun glasses, sealing motorcycle glasses, etc... I've got a pair of Bomber floating glasses now, so we'll see how...

Man, I may have to make it up for this. My Aunt has a place between Lake Bellaire and Torch lake. I'm getting married 2 weeks later, so I'll probably have to get a mini vacation in around that time! -Rob

So looking at the google sat images of the hole, it looks like the path leading past the fishing pods on the west side of the channel leading from the plant ends up at an area that looks launch-able. It's about 2000' from the road though. I may scout it out one of these weekends, see if it's...

Anyone ever make at trip to the hole once the ice starts to set up? I'm not sure if you can get to the hole from any of the launches. -Rob

How far out does the ice free area go around the hot hole? I've never been out there in the winter, but I can't imagine it's possible to get there. -Rob

I was very close to dropping the X2 into the lake yesterday. If I had the day off work I'd have taken it out to the hot spot. I'd be up for a winter ride, though I'm not sure where. At this rate there should be tons of open water. -Rob

On my 750 X2 I've run a stock 650 manifold + exhaust, stock 650 manifold + westcoast pipe, westcoast manifold + westcoast pipe, and the westcoast manifold bored out + Coffman pipe. The only 750 pipes I've seen people run are the FPP pipes, and I'm sure their great, but I've never ridden one...
