I love mine. It took some getting use to coming from a squarenose. But you learn where to stand/lean while chasing boats.

Being from the north you will probably be fine with a spring suit. I wear a 3/2 full suit in the fall. Come summer it will be like bath water. Lol

Mine is a 735 and it makes good power. I do plan on sending it back to him after this summer to get it upgraded to a 781. I would save up for the 781 if you are putting it in the foot rocket. That ski has about 30 pounds on the hurricane.

Ive always been told no swimming due to the under current from the water treatment plant and that lake is a lot cleaner than it use to be. There was a time when any kind of water sports werent allowed. Fishing, skis, tubing, etc. All warm water has some form of bacteria.

We dont really ride at Joe Pool or Lake Arlington and the other one (Mountain Creek Lake) is not a recreational lake. It is a reservoir for a naval station and is too poluted.

Oh and diesel engines do not require emissions in TX. Rip the crap off and free that engine!

Lake Lewisville is fun which is about an hour away. Lake Grapevine is about an hour as well. Lewisville doesnt need a ramp and Grapevines ramp is about a mile long. Lol

I live in Southwest Fort Worth. There are 4 lakes within 30 minutes from my house that I enjoy visiting. 2 of which dont require a boat ramp so they can be used year round regardless of the water level.

Im excited about them coming to Texas next year. Only an hour from my house and at a spot I ride at a lot.
